Things seem to be going quite well for Joe Biden

Sure, I'd vote for Joe-Sinema.  I'd vote for Joe-Turnip.  I'd vote for Joe-Clone of Joe over Trump.

But there will not be 2 people of non-color on the ticket.  Nope.  There will be a minority woman on the ticket.  If not Harris/Abrams, someone like Cortez Masto or Tammy Duckworth will get a look.

When was the last time a running mate swung an election? I know Palin eventually ended McCain's chances, but the VP has no bearing on the general.

Rumors of a one term will make it matter a lot.

That hasn't stopped the current president from running for a second term.

Hell, Woodrow Wilson's 2nd term was all Edith.  Reagan was going downhill in his 2nd term.

I won't vote for that man and neither should you. He is a creepy old-man who inappropriately touches women.

Instead we should all vote for (squints) a man who brags about grabbing women's genitals and has been credibly accused of rape by multiple women.

Joe - c'mon dude. That was never okay, let alone in 2008. She is a person, not an object to display. Joe has a lot of catching up to for simple respect.

it was not ever expected of him . . . a big shot in  DC, pulling the strings for his old patrons.

I see more platitudes from him. Conservative Democrats and Country Club Republicans liked the old model. You know - the one that crashed in 2008. (Thanks again Joe's buddies). They made out fine - after how many trillions were pumped in to save their fiefdoms? Oh yes they paid it all back - by unloading onto the financial system their ungodly neoliberal planned investment frankensteins.

They failed and they were always destined to fail. Money was printed, they engorged themselves again on the profit what one can generate by selling that given wealth (even when they don't have it in the bank).

It took Trillions of dollars to re-inflate the economy they accidentally fucked up. And we still can't get it to stop leaking. If too much of one thing blows up again, or we have a catastrophic hit to the system because of some non-financial system explosion that suddenly appears - then we will bail them out again because at that casino they sell every type of hedge there is for the top .00001%.

And they have a backstop. The printing press. For some reason someone thought it was a good idea for the banks to essentially hold the keys to the printing press. I am sure there were good reasons - and with the financial bureaucracy largely captured by the industry they regulate - well, it many have not made a lick of difference. That is a fix that needs to be corrected. Warren was correct. Bernie is correct. Yang understands modern planning for the future.

Amy can develop a little populist country wisdom - a little more sober Ann Richards - God bless her please. Ann Richards and Jim Hightower are Texas Populists Democrats at their best. They were not stuck on one issue, other than having to explain themselves when any question was raised. If Amy takes a little more populist but sensible attitude, she doesn't need to completely understand the issue. She can say she would considerate it and work to implement it if elected. That's all populism is about. Somewhere in her is a want to good for all. She needs to dump old, disproven economists.

The ever widening wealth gap between people who don't post on here - and the rest of us is gigantic. They are too big to fail - again.

How few of those trillions they squandered would have healed so much in this country.

How much did your taxes go up from 2008-2016? Not much if any. Where is the inflation -  using metrics economists rely on as accurate representations of dangerous inflation? Using those reliable tests, there was no dangerous inflation threatening the whole financial system.

The financial system has plenty of room to inflate the system with wealth - aimed a little lower this time, . . . like aimed at the  99.99999999 percenters they see taking care of them.

The ungodly amount of trillions pumped into the financial system after 2008 PROVES we can do the same for the rest of us. That's just modern economics. And when the 99.9% consumes it cultivates more business and tax potential for them.

The ship is solid. It just needs a new navigator. Time to build.

Which brings me back to Joe.

Who benefits if Joe wins (or Buttigieg ffs wins). Joe (and Buttigieg) work for the guys who risked trillions, went under, and were revived with trillions. Joe's crowing legislative glory is making it harder to declare bankruptcy. C'mon Joe, where is the justice in trillions for your buddies when they are bankrupt, and making it harder for less fortunate Americans to get a fresh start. Fair is fair, man.

And stop with the "just got male hormones" vibe. I care about your brain and your heart, more than if you can do pushups.

Joe is like the zombie banks we have. We are post-keynsian now, which means Pete Peterson was wrong. The 2008 crisis proved that. Biden needs an economics lesson - or he needs to fire his economic advisors. They gave us 2008. And made profit for the the top .001 percenters in the trillions. Time for a economic reorientation for Biden

He us not going to beat Trump. No way. Have we learned nothing from 2016? Why are we repeating? They are the same person, but he is further informed by being an inappropriate white man who has a LOT of privilege and uses that privilege. He is out of tune with today. Trump will eat him alive.

I think I will pass. But I do wish Joe a lot of thanks. His career has been a rollercoaster. I hope he enjoys retirement. I hope he becomes the good guy I know he wants to be in his heart.

See, you of all people have zero right or credibility to make a post like this. None. Because you worship at the altar of this:

So, go fuck your hypocritical ass to hell with a broken bottle, you evil fuck.

Are there any positive aspects of having him be the POTUS if you take out him not being Trump?

Well, I mean...if we ever have to go up against a foreign power led by a dude named “Corn Pop,” Joe would be on top of that shit.

Bullshit. No matter his sins, you support him. That, amigo, is worship.

I really don’t care, do you? (Rhetorical, by the way. You clearly don’t give a shit about your fellow man in the slightest.)
You're talking to a guy that laments tribalism as the downfall of society then happily votes for Trump twice. Just move on.

You should have asked for a dictionary for Christmas. You could read it out on your ledge. You have the most obnoxious habit of trying to tell people what they think. I pity your family.

What's the problem here? It was a non-answer dodge of a stupid question, without making the questioner feel stupid. That's communication 101. I know any sort of communication that isn't a bunch of histrionics and hash tags is too subtle for some, but he did just fine.

Yeah, that's just about the best way to answer that question. Obviously the Trump jalopy has easily reached his faithful with the Ukraine disinformation. It remains to be seen whether it will resonate with moderates. So far it seems to not have stuck, but the email shit was almost as stupid, and by keeping in the news day after day, Pubs managed to make it into something that affected the election.

God, I hate Democrats

They know.

It’s okay. Jill Stein is waiting for you with open arms. No broad-based party will do for you.

Oh, and here’s my plan for coal miners: I don’t give a fuck what new job you want to do, but know that it ain’t gonna be mining coal. Coal miner is as dead a job as buffalo hunter or whaler. There’s lots of types of jobs out there. Most of them are somewhere other than Asscheese, W. Va. So, fucking go where the jobs are. I’m the only candidate who isn’t fucking lying to you or selling you an insane fantasy of either your coal job coming back or some miracle new job as robot programmer coming to Asscheese. Nothing is coming to Asscheese.

It'd be worth it just to see the meltdown from this board if it happens.  🤣🤣🤣

Jeebus, it'd be delicious.  I'll say this for Joe, he's an old school politician who always seemed to believe there was compromise on both sides of an aisle.

We know his mind is a little mushy at this point, but I gotta believe that, as pugilistic as he can be, he hasn't forgotten the ridiculous accusations of racism that were hurled at him by the radicals over the summer for votes cast 40-50 years ago.  This is of course if he remembers what happened a few months ago which is not a guarantee.

There's a non-zero chance that he tells the AOC/Bernie wing of the Democratic party to go fuck themselves - and nominating a republican or Krysten Sinema for VP would be a good way to do it.

We really need to work WITH the racists, traitors, and Nazis, not against them.  You know, the folks who have spent the last 3 plus years making it crystal clear to the rest of us that there is not a single one among them in any office who isn’t a completely enabling coward.
