LeBron's team trying to trademark the term "Taco Tuesday." C'mon man. You can't move to California, eat ground beef from those pre-packaged hard shells once a week, and try to claim that shit.

At least Tom Terrific has been used in direct reference to Brady. Still pretty douchey to try to trademark something that was around before he was born and belonged to another pro athlete long before his career started. But when someone says Tom Terrific today, most people think of Brady. Ain't no one has ever said "It's Taco Tuesday!" and thought of LeBron James.

Yeah, he has flamed out on his last 6 teams now.   I honestly hope he finally understands but until he does I won't really believe it.    That said, they gave up nothing to get him and his deal will be non-guaranteed so there is almost no risk.   He can be dumped any time he gets out of line.     He should know that this is his last chance at being a part of a winning team.    Hope he has finally figured it out.

It's the same situation that the Rockets entered into with Carmelo. I bet it lasts as long as Carmelo did. Dwight is never changing.

Been kinda wondering that for some time but apparently someone is paying for it.

Porn sites are among the most visited on the net. They’re littered with ads. They straight print money.

95% of the ads are for other porn sites though...............at least that is what my friend told me.

Has to be at least 95%. Which is also crazy to think about. Where the fuck does the money come from?

exactly, if it's free, wth?  I guess there are some degenerates who are dumb enough to pay the fees - but there are server and IT operating costs, not to mention paying the girls. Hmm...

Sales of double-sided dildos and things of that ilk.  High margins.

You don't have to pay the girls much. They're all amateurs who are filming a porn for the first time. Unless the internet has been lying to me.

I think the money is in the cam girls and Snapchat girls now. It’s like $50 for a handful of 30 second videos with a Snapchat chick. No doubt they are paying referrals to the pron site.  I know that pornhub did an AMA on Reddit a year or so ago. I think I remember the question being asked on how they made money. I can’t remember the details but they were open about how they did.

Just found the AMA. It’s from 2015 and they were the 60th most trafficked site back then. One question asked about traffic and the response was “the other day we had more people on our site during the day than the entire population of Canada.”

Honestly, I completely understand Fertitta's position: he's the owner of a company, and that company's bottom line comes before politics and the moral high ground. That's capitalism, for better or worse. But don't fucking chastise your GM in public for stating the obvious and thus come off sounding like you're perfectly cool with human rights' violations. Go to him privately, have him delete the tweet, and let people speculate all they want about why he did so.

And now this dog and pony show making Morey apologize for being a decent human being. Fucking embarrassing.

It's not just Fertitta; I'm sure Adam Silver peed in his diapers when he heard about Morey's tweet.

This episode shows how hypocritical the whole NBA is - "hey world, look at how woke we are...except when something happens that may affect our bottom line."

I hope Popovich comes out blasts Silver and the NBA for this.

I'm old enough to remember the NBA moving an all star game due to no transgender bathrooms - I guess what's happening in Hong Kong isn't as important as that.

Last I'm pretty sure the entire country of China has single sex bathrooms.

Morey is just playing 4D chess.  He knows his POS boss will probably fire him soon to try and make amends and make back some money.

Now he gets to skip out of town and get another job before the Westbrook - Harden hail mary predictably doesn't end in a title, let alone multiple titles, before it all goes to shit and he would be fired anyway.

You do business with bad guys, you shouldn't punish people for saying they're bad guys.  Morey didn't even criticize the NBA's business interests in China nor China's regime in specifics.  He supported a movement for basic human rights.  The NBA should shut it's pie hole and hope they don't get crushed in the realm of public opinion.  And yes, Adam Silver or one of his lackeys absolutely has their hands on this.

One solution, and I'm just spitballing here, is not do business with bad guys?

Hilarious that one tweet can completely expose the cynicism and hypocrisy of the entire NBA from the league office and owners (excuse me,  Governors) all the way down to the players.  Fashionably and conveniently woke frauds.
