Hearing some talk on Twitter about Lance Blanks possibly passing away. I really hope it's not true. But has anyone else heard anything about it?

TJ Ford tweeted,

"We spoke weekly about Texas basketball, NBA, business opportunities and guiding me through my life. Love You. Spoke few days ago."

And he RTed a video of Blanks interviewing Andrew Jones.

Eric Metcalf tweeted,

"Everyone hug your family and friends and tell them you love them. We lost a dear friend and brother. People are going through things and you never know it!!!"

Funny how the promos/graphics for South American basketball looks like a promo flyer for a raegatton narco club party. 18+, Senoritas drink for free!

great spots for both of those dudes

Carr has a real shot to make the team and get some minutes. Phoenix is super weak at PG and they have no money to sign anyone.

Rice can teach Vic that deadly pump fake. I love it. Spurs 6th ring incoming.

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis? Pump fakes are the only thing that's kept Vic from impregnating every morbidly obese latina from Brownsville to El Paso.

Phoenix announced that Marcus Carr made their summer league roster.  Here are their guards...

To me, Carr looks like both the best player and the best prospect out of this bunch.  I hope he gets minutes.

  • Marcus Carr  - 24  (6’2) – College
  • Grant Sherfield – 23 (6’2) – College
  • Jordan Goodwin – 24 (6’3) - NBADL
  • Eugene German – 26 (6’0) – Europe
  • Hunter Hale – 26 (6’4) – Europe
  • Barry Brown – 27  (6’2) – New Zealand and China
  • Jawun Evans – 27 (6’0) – NBADL, Europe

I knew nothing of that until your post, @Fastbreak. Doesn't sound good ... at all.

Jones started attracting attention earlier this month when he went on Instagram Live visibly sweating and behaving erratically. He followed that up days later on X (formerly known as Twitter) where he seemed to say he was a better player than Hornets star LaMelo Ball and 2023 No. 2 draft pick Brandon Miller, could beat prime Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James 1-on-1 and has a better midrange game than minority Hornets owner Michael Jordan.

He also criticized the game of teammate Mark Williams, drawing a reaction from the Hornets center on Instagram. The erratic tweets were still going Saturday.

Definitely did NOT see this coming when he was at the Forty. Thought we were lucky to have him for one season, let alone two.

Doesn't sound good at all. Hope he figures it out, even if that means no more basketball.

Hook 'em, Kai.
