2018 I think.

Mine were Clos de Ducs.  I think I drank one of them but might have one more lying around somewhere.  Probably time to drink it.

This was last night bottles. The Maybach was silky smooth and delicious!

This is an excellent champagne (2008 La Grande Dame Rose) and you’re a rookie if you don’t saber.

Birthday dinner tonight. Decided not to open the 2009 Barrett & Barrett.b58b12a1cdf76c540e1e337548784574.jpg

The Les Pavots was the star. It was so balanced and smooth you could guzzle it. The MM was decanted for six hours and is still super young.

Where are you finding your wine if I may ask, I've had some Lopez de Heredia before and would like some more.  It's wonderful.

I'm in Austin and found it at Twin Liquors Hancock. Also get it from Central Market North Lamar.

How was the Aubert?  I'm sitting on some but nothing 10yrs yet.

It was fantastic, as was the champagne. It was still going strong and showing no signs of decline. Aubert makes some of the best Chardonnay, in my opinion, and this one was near the top of the list of the ones I’ve had. We had a 2008 Lauren vineyard not too long ago that was also amazingly bright and youthful. I would imagine at least another 10 years or more before they start going downhill.
On a different note, I had a 2002 Marcassin a little while back that was probably the best California Chardonnay I’ve ever had. Long story short, the quality California Chardonnays are definitely worth the money and can stand the test of time.

I hope those were patiently waiting in your cellar and you didn’t have to pay current market prices. Look forward to your thoughts on both.
