I've only seen something even close to that once or twice in the last 40 years.  Maybe never that high - can't recall it ever going over the bridge.  That's incredible!

TxDot is expecting imminent breach at the Llano bridge.

What does that mean? That the bridge will fail, or just that the water will go over the bridge?

LCRA hydromet says 275k cfs flow in Llano at the bridge - Yesterday it was roaring but at only about 20k cfs.

That's incredible.

LCRA rain gauges to the west of Llano proper on the river all showing +10" of rain in the last 48 hours.

It was still flowing strong from the Junction flood runoff before this......throwing gas on the fire.

Pedernales at 20k cfs - crazy.

Did I hear it right that this is even higher than the 1997 flood? Holy crap if so.

I don't recall '97 being this high...I thought it was touching the base then.  We've always told of floods touching the bridge but never going over the highway.

That's another 10+ feet to breach.

Llano River flowing backwards now

Burnet County Judge just said it was the Colorado River flowing backward due to the force of the water from the Llano flowing into it.

1) What happens if Travis goes over pool level with all this rain? How high is the dam?

2) This water looks pretty dirty.  Is Travis still going to be nice and purdy? I'm only half kidding.

710' I think. Closest it ever got was in 1991 Christmas flood. That was mismanaged poorly however since most of the LCRA was on holiday break.
