Man, that's a bad situation for a manager, but... 127 pitches?

If the CF had caught that, are you seriously going to send him out in the 9th to throw 140 or so pitches?

Good for him.

That dude went to Indiana State, where nobody good goes to play baseball, developed like crazy, and was a preseason favorite to be the #1 pick in the draft before his junior year.  He got hurt and slipped to the supplemental 1st round IIRC.

Has looked like he has it together even before tonight.

You ought to be orgasmic about the Red Sox losing their third game of the season so that the Yankees can pull within 6.5 games of the lead.

Dumbass, you're obviously forgetting about Tunch Ilkin, who made two Pro Bowls playing O-line for the Steelers.

Journey of 1,000 miles and all that. Sox getting no-hit has to be an omen of some sort, I feel good.

And “no one good goes to Indiana State to play baseball”? Jeff Degano would like a word.

As an Oakland fan and a deep deep Red Sox hater this is probably going to be my happiest day of the year. Long live the the Throwin' Samoan!

The Big Maple!  Good for him, 3 walks and 7 Ks and hitting 100 mph on the last batter.  And did it in Canada.

One of the things I love about my wife: I just showed her Paxton's box score line

8 0 0 0 3 6

And she got all excited.

Later, she said that the last no hitter the M's had was Iwo Jima.
